Spraypaint

Top: Korea, Jeans: Uniqlo, Shoes: KK

Summer time woo yeah! So much work at the moment. I've hopefully got a few more interesting things up my blogging sleeve for the next few weeks, stuff that isn't outfits just takes a hell of a lot longer. Plus I like my rut, it's cosy in here.

Growl.

Cardi:H&M, Top: eBay, Jeggings: H&M, Jacket: Korea, Bag:Blue Rinse Vintage

Sometimes you gotta love eBay,

leopard print = trashy
silk t-shirt = classy
silk leopard print t = me

I think thats as close as I can get to defining what attracts me to clothes, I like contradictions. Army jacket, in pink. Amber necklace, with a fly in it. Even more I can't wait to bust out my skull print jump suit in summer again.
How would you define what attracts you's to clothes?

A variation on a theme

Jacket:
H&M, Top: Vintage Jaeger, Shorts: Topshop (Though I've had them so long they're practically vintage), Tights: Topshop, Shoesies: KK, Bag: Blue Rinse Vintage, Necklace: Vivienne Westwood

As any return readers shall note this outfit is yet again a variation along a theme, this is how I roll. My life is like a 'Take ONE item and wear it for 30 days' blogging marvel.
I'm not gonna lie to you, I was a little bit worried the bag/jacket wouldn't go but actually pink and red? Fantastically clashy.
Terribly excited today as I've a list of things this big (stretch your arms out as far as they go) to do but the list is entitled "THINGS TO DO BEFORE CENTERPARCS WEEKEND" wooo! Twelve people, two executive lodges, one mega swimming pool. Can't wait.

In the pink.

Jacket&Jumper:H&M, Jeans&Necklace: Topshop, Booties: Kate Kanzier, Silky Satiny Shirt: Vintage (? Probably, it's been in my wardrobe forever, so it's certainly wardrobe vintage)

Loong weekend in London. But my mum bought me a jacket! Admittedly it was in the sale at H&M but still she hasn't bought me any clothes in years, it was nice. Although I had it pointed out to me how many jacket/coats I own, and it's true. AND even better I found a fake pink Burberry scarf in my sisters room which is now my pink fake Burberry scarf. I am in ze pink.

Leather Granny chic

Cardi: ? floor at bestival (a low point even for me, but it's washed now and I love it), Pleather crop top: half of the China dress, Skirt: Primark, Tights: Primark, Shoes: New Look

Hi there!
Granny skirt + pleather crop top, these are mixed signals I'm sending out. I like that. I even got to flash a bit of rib, rather daring for a prude like me. Too tired to witter on anymore. Have nice days/weekends.

Shoes, Glorious Shoes!

Shoes: charity shop, Socks & Jeans: Topshop

Shoes, glorious shoes, there's nothing quite like 'em! (Oliver!, but you knew that)
I picked these tapestry numbers up in a charity shop last summer for £8 and aside from the soles, which are made of wood i.e one of the most slippery materials out there, they're great.

Neat

Coat:Vietnam, Jumper: H&M, Shirt: Huk, Tights: Topshop, Shoes: Kate Kanzier

(Say this in David Attenboroughs voice) And here we see a delicate combination of navy blue, black and grey, the colours almost indistinguishable to the human eye. A marvellous feat of homosapian ingenuity.

So casj

Scarf: Vintage Liberty off my gran, Jumper: Huk, Shirt: China, Jeggings: H&M, Necklace: Junk

Looks like a typo that doesn't it, casj. However this is what the kids are apparently saying, and have been for a while, if my little sister is to be believed. It's casual, but even shorter, casj - like 'cash' but with a 'j' instead of the 'h'. Anyway I digress, I decided to lean back all cool like when I took my rushed morning picture and instead of vaguely resembling a young female James Dean I look all disjointed. But I decided to post anyways so everyone can play 'spot the Man Repeller reference'!
This is probably my first and last blog post to be written whilst a man cleans my windows, from the outside, of my 3rd floor flat. I waved, but what do you say? Do you offer a cup of tea to a man in a cherry picker? Waay too much etiquette dilemma for a Saturday morning.

Plaid

Bag: Blue Rinse Vintage, Jacket: Levi's via eBay, Jeans: Topshop

Plaid...I hate that word. Plaid..plaid...I think its because I'm still not 100% sure how it's pronounced without just sounding like I'm trying to be American. Anyways, new method for toting my many many things around.

white

Coat: Vietnam, Jumper: nicked off my housemate, skirt: China, socks: Topshop, Boots: Kate Kanzier, Brooch: Tatty Divine

Can't believe this coat hasn't cropped up yet. It's probably because it's desperately in need of a dry clean, that's the trouble with white innit?
The skirt I'm getting back into, I had a dress made in China out of pleather that had a zip at the waist so I got a skirt and a top out of it, amazing.
Happy Pancake day peoples!

Robot legs and Sushi socks

Top: Topshop, Skirt: half of the detachable pleather dress I had made in China, tights&socks: Topshop, shoes: H&M, necklaces: Junk & China

This was actually Friday night, it was me and my boyfriends 2 year anniversary and it was all very much fun. Naturally I wanted something new to wear but as I'm trying to cut down on spending I went for the new tights/socks route. Worked like a charm. I had robot legs with sushi socks and loved it (you can tell I've been taking tips from The Man Repeller*). The second photo I messed around with in the hope that my unluckily photographed legs didn't look so stumpy.

*In hindsight this seems unfair on what was me+my mans anniversary

Sunday 6 March 2011

Fly day

Hat: River Island, Jacket: eBay, Jeans: Uniqlo, Boots: Kate Kanzier, Necklace: China

Not very imaginative but I wore the jacket out and bumped into two of the best dressed people I know in Manchester, they both said it was amazing and that has probably made my mind up for me - I'll keep it. Is that bad? I couldn't make the decision myself so I happily palmed it off on someone else.
Well the necklace at least isn't up for anyone else's judgement. Personally I think a lump of amber (ok - plastic) with a fly and a flower caught inside is Jurassic Park-esque and awesome. It tends to get fairly '...eh' feedback.

Let the Sunshine!

Snood: H&M, shirt: China, cardi: Party floor, Jeggings: H&M

Hold up! Bite your tongues with that photography criticism, this isn't just another example of my general camera ineptitude. This is on purpose. That white stuff partially obscuring my shoe is sunshine! Something we up in deary Manchester don't see that much of so therefore get ridiculously excited about, the amount of purple/white/orange goosepimpled leg flesh on show....bbrrrr. Just cos it's sunny don't mean it's hot, and just cos you've got your naked legs out, don't mean your hot either.

(this was actually yesterday, in my hurry to get to work I forgot to press that all important 'Publish' button)

levvar

Snoood: H&M, Jacket: Ebay(BB), Dress: Japan, Boots: KK

Fake out.
I didn't wear this out today. I can't get my head around the leather jacket, or more precisely the sleeves. They're big and I'm convinced they're too big and I'm only little so between the two it's really too big. Ditto yesterdays red trousers, after a day of wear there was no getting round it, they're too big. Big big big.
I can tell I'm back in my regular eBay lull. I'll really get into eBay totally love it and not be able to work out why anyone ever buys anything in a shop then loads of stuff arrives that's no good and I have to re-sell it (losing 10%) and I suddenly remember the joy of real shopping. What d'you reckon online or offline? Or a careful blend of the two I've never really been able to master?

Tuesday 1 March 2011

ketchup!

Scarf:vintage Liberty off my granny, Jumper: nicked off my housemate, Jeans: Zara via eBay, Shoesies: Kate Kanzier, Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Size 8 trousers and I have them secretly turned up on the inside precisely 4". I think there needs to be a clothing sizes REVOLUTION! Anyways, red trousers to try and appease my Chinese tutor who I have to go see.

Q: What did the cheese say when it saw itself in the mirror?

A: Halloumi!

*snicker*
